Shantigram Vishveshwarayya Suryanarayana and S Mahalakshmi, maternal grandparents of the Kumar brothers. Shri Suryanarayana was a beacon light to the family. This triple graduate from the university of Mysore was a staunch educationist and a strict disciplinarian. Beloved to the Kumars, this gentleman of a tall stature lived a very simple life, distributing most of what he had among his various grandchildren, be it his vast knowledge, be it his earnings of a long retired life or be it his quick wit. His good spouse, left him a widower early in his life and he stoically bore his sorrows and brought up his 4 children under the able guidance of his in-laws. This gem of a person left for the heavenly abode on the 21st of March, 2001, after a brief illness. May their soul rest in peace.
Gaddehosur Subbaramayya Subbarao and his spouse Gauramma, paternal grandparents to the Kumar brothers, once headed a large joint family of three brothers and a sister and six children.A well known agriculturist and general merchant in his hometown of Nuggehally (Hassan dt.), he is lovingly known, even today as "Subbannavaru". Gaddehosur Subbarao Satyanarayana, illustrious father of the illustrious Kumars, is the 4th son of Shri. G S SubbaRao and Smt. Gauramma. This man of a few words is a strict disciplinarian and always strives to imbibe these same qualities in his sons, the great Kumars. This softspoken gentleman, self trained, always believes in absolute perfection and successful completion of anything that he is involved in. A "Jack of all trades", of sorts, and it would not be wrong to say, "Master of some" too. His prime concern is always the safety and upliftment of his great offsprings. He takes great interest in electronics and music, and all sorts of modern electronic gadgets !!
Sweet mother to the great Kumar brothers. A simple lady of orthodox beliefs, is the second daughter of Shri. G V Suryanarayana. Once a Bharatnatyam dancer and Veena player, she appreciates good Carnatic music. This pleasant lady is more well known for her culinary skills among the office colleagues of her spouse and son. Always concerned for the well being of her children, she can only be likened to the great sandalwood, which takes all the trouble itself, so that sweet fragrance is spread in the surroundings and well being presides everywhere. A true guiding force to the Kumar brothers.
The eldest among the Kumar brothers. A computer engineer by profession, has a gifted right hand, so they say !! A voracious reader, a collector of anything that catches his fancy, currency, postage stamps, books, sketches (his own !!) to name a few, is armed with a pencil and charcoal in his free time and can be found sketching portraits of any personality that catches his whim. (some of his works are on display in the "Family Talent" section. Click here to go there) Highly lethargic , this personality believes in getting things done, come what may, by OTHERS !! He is greatly misunderstood as a miserly and stingy person among his siblings and friends due to his caution in spending. Presently working as a software engineer with Sarla Technologies, Mumbai.
The middle Kumar, lovingly called as "Changu" or "Shangdi" in the family is a beloved of one and all. A pleasant person to be with, makes friends quickly and is a very good friend, to look forward to. Very dexterous with his hands, now equipped with his knowledge of electronics, as he is studying engineering in his favored field, "Electrical and Electronics" in Gogte College of Engineering, Belgaum, he has many an electrical project to his credit. Ever ready to help someone in need, this tall and lean chap is loved in any surroundings. He is currently acting "Head of Department of Mathematics" to the youngest Kumar, Sachin, whom you will shortly meet. Altogether, a fun person to be with.

The youngest and hence the most exploited of the Kumars, is also the most loved and pampered among the brothers. He is known for his quick wit and strange antics that every one very fondly remember. He is a very hardworking, disciplined and orderly person. The most helpful in the household, he is the first person that everyone turns around to for any help, in all matters, however trivial. He is also the "Man with the Iron Fist". A careless blow of his left hand has left many staggering. Equipped with a photographic memory, he is the mobile "telephone directory" of the family. Keenly interested in cricket, (a passive observer), his observations are generally undisputable, hence lovingly called "The third umpire" of the family. A tall chap of 6 feet, is still a "magu" (small kid) to his mother.A quite and retiring person, he cannot refuse anything to anybody. Keeps mostly to himself.
